Take a new approach
Think of new ways to view the various situations you encounter. You can often reduce the number of stressors in your life when you aim to change your perspective.
Burn off tension
Reduce cortisol levels with physical activity. Daily exercise does not have to be a stressful task. Choose to do something you love — gardening, taking nature walks, or yoga, which can slow the harmful effects of stress. Looking forward to the activity can keep you motivated, and help you destress and recharge.
Get organized
Disorganization and clutter can be stress inducing. Set up locations for important items you use each day such as for your keys, purse, wallet, briefcase, school items for your children, etc. Having a plan can help to reduce your level of stress, and prevent it from taking a toll on your health.
